Duxbury Youth Hockey

We hope everyone has been enjoying the season and watching the kids play and get better. We're in the home stretch and gearing up for states and the playoffs as well as switching into spring sport mode. That said, registration for the 2024-2025 DYH hockey season is now OPEN!

Tryouts will start the week of March 18th. The complete tryout schedule is posted on the website, effective immediately. Please register as soon as possible so level directors can get an accurate headcount for tryout sessions and plan their support accordingly.

A few things to note that are new for the upcoming season:
 

1. Thanks to the amazing fundraising results from our “Rock the Rink” event last month, we are able to put some of that money immediately back into the program and are happy to say that tuitions will be approximately $130 to $138 less per player depending on age group.
   
   Tuition Costs 2024-2025
   Learn to Play - $750
   Mites - $1200
   Squirts, Pee Wee, Bantam (SSC), Girls U10. U12, U14 - $1700
   Bantam Jr High - $750
   Bantam Jr High & SSSC - $2100
   Midget - $850
    
2. Registration cost will be lowered from $500 to $250. Registration cost is non-refundable and non-transferable, no exceptions. When you sign up to play DYH we need members to honor that commitment—we base team, conference, ice time, and skills decisions on the number of players that register.
   
   Goalies
3. We will now be offering DYH registered goalies with 10 FREE MassCrease sessions. (in past seasons DYH has covered 50% of the cost for 10 sessions).
    
4. $0 tuition cost for DYH registered goalies at the squirt, peewee, bantam and midget as well as Girls U10, U12 and U14 levels. Goalies must be full-time and play in at least 75% of their assigned team’s games (and practices) and attend 10 MassCrease sessions for this benefit. Those goalies that would like to continue to improve their skating and other non-goalie skills can attend DYH skills at no cost. If a player try’s out for and makes a team as both a full-time goalie and skates out on another team, then full tuition for that skater team will be charged with half-refunded once full-time goalie requirements are met.  Please note that the goalie team must be the priority team.
    
5. Full-time goalies will be required to pay the $250 registration cost.  This cost can either be refunded or rolled over and used for the following years registration cost, provided the full-time goalie requirements are met.

As you all know, we have a new website (SportsEngine). We will continue to use a credit card payment processing system. You are offered 2 payment options: 
 

Option 1.  Pay the entire balance up front and receive a 3% discount per player or

Option 2.  Participate in a payment schedule. If you opt for the schedule, you will pay your $250 registration cost upon registration and then your credit card will automatically be charged another $500 (per player per team) on 6/1 and 7/1 and then your credit card will automatically be charged the balance of your account on 8/1. All appropriate family discounts (see below) will be applied to your account before the 6/1 payment is drawn.  Additionally, if you have an outstanding balance after 9/1 coaches will be notified and players will not be allowed to take the ice for practice or games…if a balance goes unpaid past 9/15 that player(s) will not be allowed to go to Lake Placid.

Please note that you will NOT be allowed to register for the 2024-2025 season if you have an unaddressed outstanding balance, nor will your player(s) be allowed to tryout. Level directors will be provided a list of players, and they will NOT be allowed on the ice for tryouts until your balance is addressed. Please email DuxYouthHockeyTreasurer@gmail.com if you have a balance and any questions.

Note:  If you register your player(s) and then exit out of the system without paying by closing the browser, your registration will be canceled, and you will be ineligible for tryouts.  

As mentioned above, all fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, no exceptions. Tryout schedules are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. You will be notified of any changes by your level director through the registration system. 

Any girl trying out for 2 teams can play for the lower-priced team for half price. They must register and pay the registration fee for BOTH teams up front.

Multiple player discounts start with three kids in the program. 50% of the lowest tuition for 3 kids in the program.  Lowest tuition is free if you have 4 kids in the program.   If you choose to pay up front, you must pay the full, un-discounted tuition amounts for all family members and then email DuxYouthHockeyTreasurer@gmail.com. We will then apply all appropriate discounts to your account and process a refund to your credit card within 5 business days. We need to do this manually because the system does not handle all the discounts we offer.
